Pintxo Pincho is a tapas restaurant located in Downtown Woburn. Located on Main Street in Woburn, this cozy nook has a dimly lit dining room which is decked out in all things Spanish, including a mural paying homage to Picasso and an octopus the chef painted himself just outside the kitchen window.
It is a small place, so do not expect to go on a Friday or Saturday night and walk right in to a table. It is best to make a reservation. Tapas is not a cheap night out so be prepared for that.
When dining at a restaurant like this push yourself to try some of the items you are not familiar with. You will not be disappointed. Sharon has never met a croquette she doesn’t like so we had several varieties of these. All were absolutely delicious. Also a real treat was the iberico ham and manchego cheese. If you have never had Iberico ham, please try it. It is very expensive if you can even find it but the depth of flavor is like no other.
Also the Gambas Ajillo, Shrimp in garlic oil will change your life. Truly one of the best versions I have had. In fact we ordered a second one after we were half way through. Veal sweetbreads with garlic and rabbit stew are not common and done well here.
We split the Fideua, which is a type of paella made with broken vermicelli instead of rice. Some of the pasta remains crispy. If you have never had this version, I suggest you try it. If there are 4 people in your party, order one regular paella and one fideua. It had a mix of seafood and chicken and was delicious. We left nothing.
There are some nice wine choices and the staff is prepared to suggest something to go with your choices. Service is professional and friendly. You can order all at once and they will space it out or order a few things at a time and take it from there.
